Before being delivered, our bottles of honey are stored in a room at a temperature ranging between 23 and 25 degrees Celsius for the best possible preservation.
We recommend that you store in a dark, dry place to prevent crystallization. When a honey is naturally crystallized, it must be kept in an environment whose temperature does not exceed 25 ° C, it suffices to pass it in a water bath so that it regains its fluidity, a crystallized honey is therefore not not necessarily damaged.
Indeed, it is a product that it is quite possible to consume without risk, even after a long period. However, the sensory qualities (such as taste) of honey, and its properties, can be impaired. This is a product that can ferment, which is why in beekeeping, we do not speak of the honey's expiration date, but of the BBD (Best Before Date).
Honeys can be stored for a maximum of two years according to the legislation in force in France.
